U0127 Honda Crx Diagnostic Trouble Code

U0127 Honda Crx code definition:
U0127 is a kind of OBD-II Diagnostic U-Network Diagnostic Trouble Code for Honda Crx.

U0127 Honda Crx is described as Oxygen Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected Bank 2 Sensor 1. This code appears when the PCM (powertrain control module, also known as ECM or engine control module in other brands) remains at or close the 0.450 set voltage point. There are two wires dedicated for each coil; one is battery feed which usually comes from the distribution center, and the other one for the coil driver circuit from the PCM. The PCM grounds or ungrounds the circuit to activate or deactivate the coil.

Symptoms of a U0127 Honda Crx diagnostic trouble code may include:
Place of U0127 in engine

Possible Causes :

  • Rarely - faulty Powertrain Control Module (PCM-programming required after replacement)
  • Rough running engine due to misfiring plugs. Many engines have misfire codes to indicate the cylinder effected, such as P0307 for number 7.
  • A large vacuum leak would cause a massive amount of un-metered air to enter the intake manifold resulting in an overly lean mixture.

Common Misdiagnoses

  1. Exhaust Gas Recirculation System Valve 1 Problem
  2. BBV Sensor Circuit Low Voltage Problem
  3. Transmission Engaged At High Throttle Angle Problem
  4. Cruise Inhibit Control Circuit Problem
  5. TFP Valve Position Switch-Drive Without Drive Ratio Problem

Repair Processes :

With the valve disconnected, the red voltmeter lead should be attached to the IMRC valve power wire and the black voltmeter lead connected to ground. Check to make sure they are not burnt or corroded. If in doubt, get some Electrical Contact cleaner at any parts store if cleaning of the terminals is needed. Replace the oxygen sensor that is downstream from the catalytic converter on the side of the engine that does not contain cylinder #1. Also, if a oxygen sensor code stating "heater circuit malfunction" the sensor has most probably failed.
