P016A Riley 4 code definition:
P016A is a kind of OBD-II Diagnostic P-Powertrain Diagnostic Trouble Code for Riley 4.

P016A Riley 4 is defined as Knock Sensor Circuit Range Performance (Bank 1 or Single Sensor). This refers to camshaft timing, which in this case is over-retarded. There are two wires dedicated for each coil; one is battery feed which usually comes from the distribution center, and the other one for the coil driver circuit from the PCM. The PCM grounds or ungrounds the circuit to activate or deactivate the coil.

Repair Processes :

With the valve disconnected, the red voltmeter lead should be attached to the IMRC valve power wire and the black voltmeter lead connected to ground. If all testing has passed so far yet you still have the same code, check your scan tool and see if it can open and close the IMRC valve. Oxygen sensors signal the engine management computer the amount of oxygen present in the exhaust, which is used in determining and controlling the fuel ratio.
