P0067 Honda 145 Diagnostic Trouble Code

P0067 Honda 145 code definition:
P0067 is a kind of OBD-II Diagnostic P-Powertrain Diagnostic Trouble Code for Honda 145.

P0067 Honda 145 is described as Fuel System Too Rich, which basically means bank 1's oxygen sensor has detected a rich condition of fuel. This means there's not enough oxygen in the exhaust from too much fuel being delivered into the air and gas mixture for combusion. This is because the barometric pressure sensor is part of the MAF sensor. Sometimes, the MAF's sensing wire can accumulate and get covered with dirt, dust and/or oil residue, which can also lead to the error code.

Symptoms

Symptoms of a P0067 Honda 145 diagnostic trouble code may include:
Place of P0067 in engine

Possible Causes :

  • Rough running engine due to misfiring plugs. Many engines have misfire codes to indicate the cylinder effected, such as P0307 for number 7.
  • Rarely - faulty Powertrain Control Module (PCM-programming required after replacement)
  • A large air leak at or near the number one oxygen sensor would also cause a lean mixture.

Common Misdiagnoses

  1. Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit Performance Problem
  2. TP Sensor Learn Not Complete Problem
  3. Low Coolant Circuit Problem
  4. Cruise Control System - Vehicle Accel Too High Problem
  5. Kick-Down Switch Failed Short Problem

Repair Processes :

If the engine displays a miss and there wasn't a code, determine which cylinder is misfiring. If the exhaust manifold is visible, spay or pour a small amount of water on each cylinder exhaust port. Water will evaporate immediately on good cylinders and slowly on the missing cylinder. If this can't be accomplished pull the plugs and check the condition. With the valve disconnected, the red voltmeter lead should be attached to the IMRC valve power wire and the black voltmeter lead connected to ground. If the scan tool has that capability, and the scan tool can operate the IMRC valves, then the problem is either resolved and a simple code clearing is all that's left or a new PCM would be called for.

Process Tips
