C0200 Horch Sachsenring Diagnostic Trouble Code

C0200 Horch Sachsenring code definition:
C0200 is a kind of OBD-II Diagnostic C-Chassis Diagnostic Trouble Code for Horch Sachsenring.

C0200 Horch Sachsenring is described as Oxygen Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected Bank 2 Sensor 1. This code appears when the PCM (powertrain control module, also known as ECM or engine control module in other brands) remains at or close the 0.450 set voltage point. This is because the barometric pressure sensor is part of the MAF sensor. Sometimes, the MAF's sensing wire can accumulate and get covered with dirt, dust and/or oil residue, which can also lead to the error code.

Symptoms

Symptoms of a C0200 Horch Sachsenring diagnostic trouble code may include:
Place of C0200 in engine

Possible Causes :

  • A large air leak at or near the number one oxygen sensor would also cause a lean mixture.
  • Faulty IMRC actuator relay (if equipped)
  • A faulty oxygen sensor. This will set a code in itself, however, a faulty oxygen sensor does not automatically condemn the sensor. The code just means that the sensor signal was not within specifications. An air leak or any of the above will cause an erroneous signal. There is a multitude of O2 codes relating to O2 performance which gives a clue to the problematic area.

Common Misdiagnoses

  1. Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit Performance Problem
  2. TP Sensor Learn Not Complete Problem
  3. Low Coolant Circuit Problem
  4. Cruise Control System - Vehicle Accel Too High Problem
  5. Kick-Down Switch Failed Short Problem

Repair Processes :

If the scan tool has that capability, and the scan tool can operate the IMRC valves, then the problem is either resolved and a simple code clearing is all that's left or a new PCM would be called for. Look for missing ground strap or a rusty ground where the fuel tank is grounded to the frame. Check for damage to the wiring harness connector. Oxygen sensors signal the engine management computer the amount of oxygen present in the exhaust, which is used in determining and controlling the fuel ratio.
